JD 239 Thousand, the Profits of the Jordanian French Insurance Company for the Half of 2021

JOFICO announced that it achieved an expected net profit after tax of JD 239 thousand for the period ending on June 30, 2021, compared to a net profit of JD 1.2 million for the period ending on June 30, 2020.


The company stated to the Securities and Exchange Commission that total half revenues for 2021 amounted to JD 13.5 million, compared to 2020, which amounted to JD 11.9 million.
The company indicated that the compensation paid for the period ending in June 2021 amounted to JD (10.4) million, compared to JD (8.3) million for the same period in 2020. The total expenses decreased to JD 466.7 thousand in the first half of 2021 compared to JD (742.3) thousand for 2020. Total assets for the semi-annual period of 2021 amounted to JD (137) million.
The company indicated that the half-year net written premiums amounted to JD (12.8) million, compared to JD (16) million for the same period of 2020.

The share of the the period ended on 30 June 2021 profit was (0.026) fils/jd, while it was 0.127 fils/JD last year.


Commenting on the results, Mr. Walid Zorob, General Manager of the Jordanian-French Company, expressed the importance of the coming period for the economy in all its various aspects, pointing out that the company’s half-year results are good, especially with the decline in the performance of most economic sectors. He stressed that overcoming this difficult stage requires additional effort from the company’s management and all its employees to reach the best results during the coming period. This will facilitate the good reputation of the company and the high professionalism it enjoys.
