Philadelphia University Honors the Winner of the Excellence Award in Scientific Research for the year 2020/2021

As part of Philadelphia University’s keenness to honor the distinguished, the Deanship of Scientific Research celebrated honoring Dr. Maram Bani Younes, a faculty member in the College of Information Technology, who won the Research Excellence Award at Philadelphia University for the academic year 2020-2021, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Moataz Sheikh Salem, President of the University, and in the presence of the Vice President, Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Sartawi, Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Essam Najib Al-Fuqaha, and Dean of the College of Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Qassem Al-Obaidi, where the university awarded the winning doctor a financial award and the university shield in appreciation for her outstanding efforts.
At the beginning of the honoring, the President of the University welcomed the attendees, congratulating the winning doctor of the Research Excellence Award and thanking the organizing body for its efforts, work and interest in researchers, stressing the university’s support for scientific research.
In turn, the Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, Dr. Al-Fuqaha, praised the efforts of the faculty members and their research interest, which raises the scientific and research level of the university and enhances its position and reputation among international universities. He mentioned that six distinguished researchers have applied for the award. Where a committee was formed headed by Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Sartawi to study the applications and select the winner, within criteria governed by regulating instructions applied by the university every year.

Philadelphia University Conducts all its Academic Activities Electronically

Philadelphia University has conducted a formative electronic evaluation of all its academic activities, especially with regard to scientific research and areas of focus in its activities, as well as attention to the international dimension and the extent of compatibility with the requirements of integrating e-learning in the educational process, to enhance the capabilities of faculty members in the educational, administrative, organizational and technical fields to achieve sustainable competitive advantages in accordance with the vision and the university’s strategic mission and objectives, and the participation of faculty members in the evaluation was high.
The Dean of Development and Distance Learning, Professor Dr. Essam Najib Al-Fuqaha, confirmed that e-learning is one of the relatively recent models of education that began to be used quickly and widely due to the Corona pandemic.


Nursing Philadelphia Celebrates the Distribution of the Award for the Best Awareness Video on the Corona Pandemic
In the interest of Philadelphia University students and raising their academic level, and in order to achieve the goals of the College of Nursing in spreading health awareness in the different spectrums of the local community. The College of Nursing / Student Activities Committee, headed by Dr. Iman Al-Saleh, organized a competition for the best awareness video on the Corona pandemic.
Under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Moataz Sheikh Salem, the Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Fadwa Al-Halaiqa, announced the winners in the first three places, where they were awarded financial and appreciation prizes as follows: The first prize was shared equally by the student Youssef Fadl Ibrahim Al-Hassan for the awareness work “Frequently asked questions about pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum in light of the Covid 19 pandemic.” The groups of students are (Leen Omar Al-Khasawneh, Wael Abu Al-Saud, and Shurooq Qassem Abu Ermilah, about the awareness work ‘Community Health Nursing’).
The second prize won by the students: Sohaib Abdul Qadir Hajir, Khaled Muhammad and Muhammad Al-Dirbani for the awareness work “posters about the importance of wearing a muzzle”. The third prize was won by Wafa Zahir Khan for the awareness work “COVID-19 Application”. Thus, the President of the University congratulated the winning students and participants in the competition. He also thanked the organizers of such activities that would develop the students’ life skills and refine their personality.
The awards ceremony was attended by faculty members and students in the college, who in turn praised the winning students and their societal motivation in educating the community. At the end of the ceremony, the students thanked the Presidency of the University and the College of Nursing for their continuous support, expressing their happiness.
