Non of the standard options are working, I doesn’t want to load a restore point, nor it want to go back to the previous version, nor it wants to repair the start process. MS account logon fails so can’t use to see video. Google account did work. Then I get error that that file does not exist. Windows 10 performed an update over last night and this morning I could not access my computer. Clearly something went wrong because the update did not create a restore point so will not oll back.
I have tried all the suggestions below and have not cured the problem. Sfc rums initial validation but goes o further -again repoint an error. I have downloaded the iso ile above via my tablet but 1 annot copy it to a dvd to run onthe pc.
Without windows i cannot connect to the Internet – what is the solution? Obviously Microsoft have issued an untested update again and I for one now have a c that may need to go to a repairer -assuming it can be recovered without losing my data and my installed applications. BTW, previously I had restored an earlier restore point using the win iso on flash drive.
Not sure that this helped in the process, though. Since then, I disabled all windows updates and cross my fingers. Not everything is working great, but I can use my computer again, without data or application lost. Only boot time is very long.

Couldn’t turn it off, Task Manager, nothing. Anyway, what he told me to do after he had got me up and running again was to turn of the mains power which obviously closed the PC down. Then, hold the F2 button down and restore power which gave me access to factory re-boot, which works. Didn’t have to re-load any other programs, all there. Must add, took quite a while but worked.
